Alexander Music & Audio was founded in 2021 by Cody Alexander, beginning as a small piano tuning and recording service in Amarillo, Texas. What started as a technical service quickly grew from something deeper: a lifelong relationship with sound, shaped by persistence, curiosity, and a personal connection to music.

Cody’s journey into music was unconventional. Without a musical background or formal training early in life, he began teaching himself piano by ear at the age of seven. Lacking mentorship and structured education, he navigated music largely on instinct, developing an ear for sound long before understanding the theory behind it.

That foundation eventually evolved into a focused pursuit. In his mid-20s, music returned as more than an interest, it became a path that needed to be followed. During a difficult period in his life, he felt called to pursue music with intention and discipline. What followed were years of dedicated study in music theory, composition, audio production, recording, mixing, mastering, and the science of how sound moves and is experienced.

He continued the path through formal education at West Texas A&M University, with a dual emphasis on Vocal Performance and Music Technology. During his time there, he performed in both Collegiate and Chamber Choirs and served as a student Audio Engineer, successfully leading the recording and livestream production for soloists, ensembles, orchestras, and faculty performances. He also performed as both a soloist and choir member at St. Andrew’s in Amarillo through a scholarship program.

Following his education at WTAMU, he began offering piano tuning services to the community in Amarillo, while he worked on establishing the foundation for a professional music & audio business focused on providing solutions and creating a space where musicians and artists could access high-quality, thoughtful audio services from someone who understands both the technical aspects and emotional sides of music.

In 2025 / 2026 he began expanding Alexander Music & Audio and relocated to Houston, Texas to provide tailored services to a broader range of musicians, artists, and audio enthusiasts, and works to make a positive impact in the music community. He believes in actively spreading the importance of human made, emotionally driven music and how it is an important aid in suicide prevention.

At its core, Alexander Music & Audio is built on the belief that music is more than sound, it’s a raw form of expression that connects people, tells stories, and holds the power to carry a struggling soul through dark times.
